St. Tammany Parish offers two paid online portals for digging into records from home. The Legacy eSearch program covers land records, mortgage and conveyance data from July 1961 to present, and document images from 1977 forward. Map data and images go all the way back to 1810. A 24-hour pass costs $20, a one-month plan runs $30, and a full year is $360. Printing or copying pages from Legacy costs $0.75 each.

The Odyssey WebROA portal focuses on court records. Civil case data starts at 1992, with document images from 1994. Criminal case data goes back to 1988, though criminal document images only begin in April 2019. Pricing for Odyssey runs $20 for 24 hours, $40 per month, or $480 for a full year. Both portals charge a 2.75% credit card processing fee on top of subscription costs.

Under Louisiana's Public Records Law, R.S. 44:1, most records held by these offices are open to all. You do not need to be a party to a case or own land in the parish. Anyone can ask to see them.
